"Everything the interactive demo needs to fold this object, expressed as annotations on UCLA's own IIIF manifest. Nothing here is copied into a derivative manifest: the canvases, their dimensions and their image services all stay under iiif.library.ucla.edu, and this page adds only the two things the source record cannot know, namely which canvas plays which role in the fold and where the crease falls. Every number the demo draws is derived from these selectors at runtime."

The selector is a registration crop, not a crop of the object: the published canvas is 1913x3098, but the card itself only occupies x=15, y=12, w=1888, h=3071. At that region the card measures the same width as the two collapsed exposures, which drops the card-width error against the collapsed front from -1.39% to -0.11%. The demo renders this region as its working space, so the crop origin also becomes the offset that the fold-line annotations have to be converted through.",

The selector is a 10px band in the published canvas's own coordinates, so its y of 1939 is measured from the top of the full 3098px canvas. To use it, convert into the working space of the front-expanded crop: (1939 - 12) / 3071 = 62.75%. Everything below that line is the flap.",
