Movable Books

Collecting use cases and generating fixtures for movable books in IIIF

About This Project

Moving books include several components that escape the traditional imaging techniques used for photographing fine art, manuscripts, posters, epigraphy, and other largely 2D subjects. This project serves to coordinate the possible cases and present them as IIIF and Web Annotation data objects.

We are documenting use cases for representing interactive and movable elements in digitized books using the IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) standards.
